Diamond Acre Kennel - Evonne Denney
DO NOTdo business with Diamond Acres Kennel or Evonne Denney

In Nov. I purchased a male french bulldog from the Denneys. It took several contacts to set up the sale and meeting to get the dog. There were several times common sense told me I was being lied to. But I wanted a dog for a Christmas present for my husband, and I let my heart override my head. Evonne Denney wasn't able to tell me much about the dog at all, didn't know his date of birth, etc., told her husband took care of that. When I picked the dog up from Gary, her husband, I asked again the date of birth, he said his wife took care of that.

When I got the dog he was covered in fleas and his eye was red and draining. This was a Saturday. The first Monday after I got him, I took him to my vet. The dog was wormy, covered in fleas, and his eye was worse. The vet was concerned about the eye, started the dog on anitbiotics, but strongly suggested I not commit to taking the dog until he knew for sure whether it was just an infection or a long term tearduct problem.
I called Evonne, she assured me that this dog had never been anywhere but on her place. She bred and raised him, and to have the sort of problem my vet was talking about, he would have had to have a tearduct removal, and he had never been ANYWHERE but with her.

His eye did get better with antibiotics, so I emailed her that I was keeping the dog and wanted his papers. It took months and many contacts (phone and email) to get a set of papers. Not our dog's papers, our dog is brindle with some white. The papers are AKC for a white male born in Kiev, Ukraine — a good ways from Rockwall, Texas if my geography is correct.

I was tired of messing with the "have a blessed day" people and decided it wasn't worth the hassle. I had the dog, my husband is happy with him, and I had better things to do with my life. My vet suggested that I let them know the papers were wrong, IF they were a reputable breeder (which common sense had already told me they were not), they would make it right. If they didn't, I should contact the AKC. But I decided it just wasn't worth the hassle.

Today I decided to look up french bulldogs on line and found this rip-off site and Diamond Acre Kennel. They should not be allowed to continue cheating people out of their money and using these poor sweet animals for their ill-gotten gains. So I decided to add my experience to the site.

These people are the most dishonest people I have ever dealt with. I feel so sorry for anyone who comes in contact with them, and even more heatbroken for the animals with the misfortune to come into their hands.
