I took 7 items to the Elite Cleaners for dry cleaning. They were a wool sweater, a tee, a two piece suit, a pair of pants, and two jackets (one a down jacket and the other one has leather stripes at the pockets).
I went to pick them up on March 20th and I didn't check them before I got home. My pants had some kind of stains that were not there before, my suit looked looked like a rag (some of the skirt's plits where not on the right lines and the top piece had a lot of lines from, probably, pressing). The color came out from the leather stripes and the down jacket looked like it was not cleaned and I did specify that it was a reversible jacket from the start.
I took them back the same day to have them redone. When I got them back on March 23rd, the 2piece suit and the pant were fine and they told me that the cold not do anything about the color that came out staining my jacket and I should go where I bought it because they followed the instructions on the tags. When I picked up my down jacket on March 29th I saw that on my sleves I had tiny holes, the colors were faded from, probaly chemicals, and it did not look any cleaner. I paid about $50 for all that.
On April 2nd, I went to talk to the manager and pick up 2 leather jackets that I droped with the other things and costed $84. I told her what happen and that I know that I am not going to get my money back because she is going to find a lot of reasons why is not their fault, and that it is exactly what happen. I did not know what caused the holes and I suggested It may be the chemicals. She got very defensive and told me that It was the wear and not the chemicals. I told her that I did not wear more than 10 times since I bought it and not even 5 times since I dry cleaned it last time so it wan't posibble and that with my other jacket I knew that they did not follow the instructions because I dry cleaned it before at another store and the color did not came out. She did not have a response for that.
All this time I did not raised my voice and she kept asking me what I want. I told her that I wanted to let her know what happen to my cloths when another customer came in and she started saying that she in not going to stand there while I am yelling at her, that is not her chemicals causing it, an d that I just told her earlier that I wear my jacket more than 20 times. After that she took my $84 and when I told that I am going to contact you she did not care. I already paid for my other cloths on the 20th.
At that point I was so upset that I did raise my voice when I told that she destroid my cloths and she has the nerve to tell me that I am waisting her time by arguing with her about what happen and she walked away.
