I dropped off a $300 fur & suede jacket to be cleaned in January '04. I was told I could pick it up in two and the cost would be thirty dollars. THREE weeks later they still had not recieved my jacket back from the leather cleaners that they had sent it to.
I called one or twice a week for 2 months only to be told "we honestly do not know where it is. We can't locate your jacket." I get a call on March 29th that had found my jacket and I could come pick it up at anytime at the cost of thirty dollars! I couldn't wear my coat all winter, the people were rude and elusive, and now they want $30. You gotta be kidding!
When to pick up my jacket and debate the costs, the owner denied that my jacket was ever lost and insisted that it was back in two weeks and that I just didn't want to pay for the service. Not only did the guy lose my jacket & rip me off, he also insulted me and cursed at me!
Well, I had to pay the thirty dollars or leave my coat there forever. I feel I have been thoroughly ripped off. It's about the thirty dollars it's about the principal.
