I signed up for DirecTV Satellite services around march and they ask me for a deposit of $200.00 and 1 year contract. They told me that this was a deposit and that it would be returned to me at the end of the contract.
I canceled their services at 9th month, and they charged me a fee for canceling the contract and the balance then was around $230.00. They never applied my deposit to my balance; and they have said that the $200.00 that I paid was not a deposit, instead it was a fee because I did not have a long credit history. Which means that they mislead me making me think it was a deposit and I could get it back, just to get the services.
I have file a report to the BBB but they never really helped me, DirecTV sent a rebuttal stating that it was a fee. And that I was liable for the 230 dollars. They sent me to collection for months until I decided to pay it.
On 8/12 Nationwide Credit inc. (the collection company) convinced me to make a payment to DirecTV that with extra fee's was: $265.00. That payment was processed on 8/12 and it appears in my bank statement as paid to:

On 9/15/08 I received a letter from another collection agency trying to collect
300.00 for DirecTV Inc. I called DirecTV and they told me that they never received my payment. I checked my credit report and they are still reporting me as being liable for that payment.
I've sent them letters and faxes with proof that I Paid but they havent answered. When I speak to them on the phone they tell me that they will call me back in 24 hours, but they never do.
Please help me, I already paid this and they keep reporting me to the Credit Reporting Agency.
