I moved last year and called the number DirecTV provided to get the free move that they offer online and on TV. They sent a private contractor who charged me $40 to install and align the dish at my new residence.
The company does not charge you themselves, but you do have to pay the private contractor they send. If I had known this, I would not have ordered DirecTV in the first place, because it was only two months before I moved that I signed up.
The DirecTV ad is misleading because it makes you believe that your move will be completely free. When you call to order the move, they say nothing about a private contractor.
