On 07/27 i made an appt for 5pm on 7/29 for my son to get an eye exam to get replacement glasses. When i made that appt the girl asked what kind of insurance i had. I t0ld her that i would go and get the card so i could give her the information so she could verify the benefits. At that time she told me that wouldn't be neccessary that she could do that at the time of the appt. As you can imagine, a 5pm, all insurances are closed. When i got to my appt, the girl at the front desk (gaby) explained that the insurance was closed and there was no way for her to verify my benefits. Frustrated that i took off of work early and was unable to have my appt the office manager came out and said they could verify the benefits the next day and call me first thing in the morning. She was also going to throw in a free pair of glasses, poly carb lenses, scratch resistant, etc... So i agreed to see the doctor and would come back to pick out the lenses. I gave the front desk girl my cell phone number to call and let me know what my benefits were. The next day i didn't get a call. I went home and sure enough, there was a message on my home voicemail. (not the cell that i specifically provided). I took my son in and we picked out 4 pair of glasses for a total of $453.00.3 for him and 1 for me. I had a coupon for buy 1 get 2 free plus the free pair that veronica said she would throw in for the inconvenience. We were advised that our glasses would be ready in 7-14 days. 3 weeks later we still hadn't received a call telling us our glasses were ready. I took my son into the store hopeful they were ready. Sure enough, veronica once again, said she didn't have the time to call us but one pair of glasses were actually in right then. Gaby went over to try to fit the glasses, bending the frames this way and that. The end result were a pair of frames that were no longer ever going to fit straight. I told veronica that i wanted them to take these glasses back and get a new frame that wasn't bent that would actually sit straight on my sons nose. She agreed. We left and still waiting for another phone call to tell us our glasses were ready. Still no call. I went back into the store and advised veronica (the store manager) that i just wanted my money back at this point. I had spent several hours and several trips to try and get these glasses and $453.00 and still no glasses. I just wanted my money back and would go somewhere else to get glasses. She said that was fine it would take 1 week to re-credit my credit card. I said that was fine. This is 4 weeks that eyeglass world has had my money and still hadn't produced one pair of eyeglasses. 8 days later my credit card still hadn't been credited. I went back into the store and spoke to veronica. She advised me that she had an e-mail confirming that it was approved to be credited. At this point i asked for her manager's name and phone number. Now i am getting extremely irritated because nothing is being done and all i am getting is a bunch of lip service. I called the manager (cindy christian) on 8/28 to find out the status of my refund. She advised me that there was a problem with the refund because veronica put it in under my name instead of my sons name. Well i am the one who paid for it, so it should be under my name. But she would send an e-mail and let me know first thing in the morning what the status was. I never heard from her. I called her again on 9/2 and said now i know where her employees get not calling people back. She said that is was approved but they were doing end of month and it wouldn't be credited until that was done sometime that week. I then asked for her managers name and number and after some debate she finally gave it to me. She called me back 10 minutes later saying the credit was done that day 9/02. Today is 9/3 and i still haven't seen a credit nor will cindy's manager call me back after calling and leaving her a voicemail.
