Wal-Mart Inferior Eye Glasses - Eye Glasses

It was time for my eye exam. My place of employment changed our insurance and our eye coverage wasn't as good as it used to be, so I decided to go to the Wal-Mart Vision in Taylorville, Illinois for my new glasses even though I couldn't use my insurance, thinking it would be cheaper to go there than my regular eye doctor. Well, I got cheap alright, but it sure wasn't in the price of my eye exam and glasses. $363.00 and multiple trips into Wal-Mart later, the cheap came in at the product (eye glasses) I got from Wal-Mart.
My glases are about 5 months old. For the first month I had the glasses, I had to go in every couple of days to have them adjusted. It seemed like they didn't want to stay adjusted for very long. Then I just ended up learning to live with my glasses not staying up on my nose like they should have. Then when I would clean them, my lenses started popping out of the frames. So I'd pop them back in. This has gone on for 3 or 4 months now. 2 weeks ago after I cleaned my lenses one one of them popped out again. I put it back in and as I was on my way to work, I went to push my glasses back up on my nose (AGAIN) and a lense fell out. I was half way to work and had to turn around and go home to get my old pair of glasses (which I have never had any trouble with and paid more than half as much for them as I did my new ones) and then turn around and go back to work. I work midnights as an emergency dispatcher, so when I got home the next morning, I had my daughter take my glasses into Wal-Mart to have them fix my frames since I sleep during the day. The associate was VERY, VERY rude with her and told her since I didn't have the screw, they would have to pay for a new screw. My daughter told her unless they just wanted to end up refunding the price of the glasses, she had better fix them for free. She didn't mind paying $1.00 for the screw. It was the principal of the thing. I bought my glasses there, they weren't even 5 months old then and they wanted us to PAY for a screw? After all of the trouble I have had with them? Today I noticed my glasses weren't fitting right so I took them off and one of the nose pads was gone. My son-in-law took the glasses in to have them replace the nose pad and again the associate wanted to be paid for the nose pad. My son-in-law didn't fight it, he just paid them.
I am not a kid. I'm 53 years old, I know how to take care of my glasses. I'm not hard on my glasses and have not dropped them. My lenses are tri-focals, they are transition lenses, with UV and supposedly a scratch coating. But my lenses are scratched already. I hate to even think what my lenses are going to look like after 2 years of normal wear. Again, when I left Wal-Mart after my eye exam, I had spent $363.00. I didn't not buy a cheap pair of frames (127.00 I believe) and my lenses were 75.00 apiece. I am NOT happy. I will be going to Wal-Mart this week and if something is not done about my glasses, I will be contacting the BBB. I will never, ever get anything as inportant as eye glasses again at Wal-Mart. Buyer Beware!
