I get a call from grolier and have to listen to some guy try to get me to buy some christmas ornaments. "It's such a great deal", he said, and "if you decide you don't want them keep one for free and send the other one back, or keep them for $10.99." I said no at first, but he was persistant enough to get me to say yes.
I get the ornaments, a Mickey Mouse on Train and Winnie the Pooh. Their pretty cute so I decide to write my credit card number on the return postage card they had sent with the ornaments, and I had written "cancel" real big on the card the very same day and mailed it. If I hadn't written cancel they would keep sending me the whole collection of ornaments for a couple hundred of dollars and I didn't want all of them.
I received a Request for Payment Dec. 23 and am being charged $14.93 now due Dec. 30. They didn't take it out of my credit card the first time I sent my payment, now I'm supposed to try to send them a payment for even more money not knowing if they'll even do it this time. Which it's already late if I try to send it again, being that it is Dec. 30 already.
I just feel their behavior is irresponsible and rediculous. I don't want to have to deal with stupid nonsence like this. I will never deal with the tele-marketers again, especially Scholastic. I'm not sure what to do, they didn't give me a number to call. I tried e-mailing them but got no reply.
