I am a new parent, trying to do the right thing by getting my son into reading early. So I ordered some books for my child, then I start getting the "best ever offers" you know the ones you "just can't beat!"
I said yes to some of the good idea ones.
Now I am still getting billed for the great christmas collection. Then Scholastic has a lady call me one evening, I mean they call after dinner time. And she has this "great Offer" for me. She is selling NBK ENCYCLOPEdias. I told her I was not interested and that I had no use for them. WEll as the conversation went on she told me the first one was totally free.
I told her she could send the free copy, I would look it over then if I thought it would be helpful I would request the rest of set. Now I get letters saying that "my good standing with Scholastic is in JEOPARDY!" All because they sent more books to my house after I told the lady on the phone to "ONLY!" send ONE book. I will never every fall for those "BEST EVERY" offers again.
