Recently I booked a flight from Houston to Jacksonville, FL and purchased this insurance. I was in Houston helping my sister take care of my brother in law, who was sick in the hospital. My brother in law died suddenly just prior to my scheduled departure and I could not take the flight. I notified Access America and Continental immediately regarding this.
I filed a claim giving all information, circumstances and the death certificate of my brother in law. After a month, I received notification that the claim was denied.
What use is this insurance if a claim such as this is denied? It would be worthless to the majority of travelers. Put plainly-It is a ripoff!
