World Access Service Apparently I should have known that my father was going todie

I had been traveling back and forth to NY (from CA0 several times, due to my fathers illness). After spending a week in NY, I needed to get home to my children for a couple of days. I flew home, had dinner with my children and went to sleep. Upon waking, I made reservations and paid for insurance for my return trip in two days.

Shortly after, my brother called me to tell me my father had died the night before. I needed to come back to NY immediately to schedule my fathers funeral. I immediately called the airlines, and I was told that I could change my reservations, and my travel insurance would pay for the change.

Access America initially denied the claim because, they stated, his death "was likely to occur". WTF???

They then stated that they were denying the claim because I purchased the policy after my father had died... BUT, I didn't KNOW he had died!!! As soon as I found out, I called, and was assured that the insurance would cover this change. I never would have made the original flight booking if I knew my father had died!!!

This company is disgusting. They prey on people just getting tired of fighting them, and rely on people giving up and going away.
