First off when this occurred I was disabled and in a wheelchair.
My refrigerator went out on me on October 30. I had to have one so I had no choice but to rent one. I called Rent A Center and they took my application over the phone and brought me out what was suppose to be a NEW refrigerator. Well this so-called NEW refeigerator did not work and was full of maggots and cockroaches. I called and reported this to the company. A man came out that evening and looked at it (mean while all my food is spoiling) and said that they would bring another one the next day, and they did late that afternoon. Well I spent the night cleaning maggots and chasing cockroaches. And had to do it all over again the next day. As the second refrigerator was in the same condition as the first. Well finally on the 15th of November they sent out a guy that was suppose to exterminate my home for the roaches. Well all he did was put out that Combat gel in a few places and left. Was in my house no more than 5 minutes. Well 4 months later and I still have roaches and I can not get them to do anything about it.
Also I told them that I would make monthly payments. Well on the 24th of November I answered a knock on my door and it was RAC. Asking for the payment. Well by my caculations it was not a month yet. And I told the bozo that. Well he continually stood on my front porch stareing at me. And if looks could kill I would be dead already. I told him to get the h*ll off my front porch. Well he went back to his van and stayed in my driveway for more than 30 minutes. Him and his FAKE blue eyes. And I called the store to report his behavior and it fell on deaf ears. To everyone there it was appropriate behavior because I wouldn't pay my bill that wasn't due yet. Well I was harassed none stop for the next week until I made my payment. They would ring my home and cell phone 5 times a day. And come by my house at least once a day. I tried to call the store and speak with the store manager. Well that was an experience in itself. The store manager acted as though I had nothing to complain about because my payment was due on the 24th. Well I still tried to explain to the uneducated person that From the 1st to the 1st, is a month not from the 1st to the 24th. Well as I said it fell on deaf ears too. I would have got better response from talking to the wall. So December comes around and I get the same crap from them, fake blue eyes was on my doorstep again on the 22nd of December. Well this time I wasn't home and he did not properly close my storm door and with the Oklahoma winds my storm door was almost ripped off its hinges. And needless to say they will not repair it either. So now I have roaches and a severly damaged storm door that I have to tie shut. Try living like that. I makes me angry every time I think about it or see a roach or have to deal with the door.
I have tried to be patient about the matter but thay have gone too far for me to be patient any longer. Last Saturday the brought over a person claiming to be a private process server. He pounded on my door for over an hour, went around and pounded on all of my windows and even the back gate. Some process server huh? I was home but would not open the door because of their behavior. I was scared of what they might do to me because I am disabled. They went around and asked all of my neighbors questions like "did she have a party over here last night?" does she live alone etc? What d*mn difference does it make if I did or didn't party or if i lived alone or not? I don't feel as they had a right to asked anyone any questions at all much less questions like that. Its none of their business what I do. And then the fool tried to scare me, he duct taped a business card on my door and then wrote on the tape "RAC is going to sue you". Ohhhh scare me. And this person nor his company name is listed in the phone book so chances are he is just as much a fake as RAC is. He claims to be Jack Beall Private Investigations but its not listed in the phone books, at least not the ones I have. So I have no idea who he is or why he was at my door acting like a pervert or something, going around banging on my windows and trying to see if he could see in. He got lucky last time but next time I will immediately call the police. Something I should have done last time.
So if you don't want cockroaches, broken doors and to be continuely harassed, as well as your friends, family and neighbors. DON"T do any business with them. Go else where.
