I got this phone call on my cell phone telling me that that being I had such good credit and handled everything I did on there well, BWP was willing to give me a $1000 check I could use for buying stuff on the internet. The only thing I had to do was agree to buying six magazines for a total of 60 months. Plus, the magazines were on sale so it would only be a portion of what would normally be owed. Well, I thought it sounded good. Being a little strapped for money and hoping to go see my boyfriend in Illinois as soon as I could the $1000 check sounded pretty good.
Well, when they finally called me to confirm it and I asked how much I was going to be charged the first time, see, Mark had told me it was only going to be $16 something for the first month and then they would decide on a billing arrangement, the woman on the other end told me that it would now be charged $49.90. I told her flat out I didn't want to be bothered with that. She had the audacity to hang up on me. When I tried to call her back first she would pick up and then hang up and then when she finally did answer she told me to stop bothering her. I called her back and she told me she had cancelled everything and that I should have a nice night.
When I went to the bank the next morning I see that had taken $49.90. I was able to contact the number back that day and they said that they were just an answering service and I could call customer service Monday through Friday. This is Saturday and as of Monday I will have a block put on the charge has it has not been taken out of my acccount as of yet. I hope somebody can help with this.
