RENT - A - CENTER - was invited to pick up a defective 2 pc sofa set, of which after being offered a substancial discount to rent, of 600., was found to have more unreported back damage after delivery, which the manager offered another 200. Off over the phone. They owed a refund to her for paymt. She has been a RAC customer for 35 yrs./ a platinum card.
Since it was not in the contract and refusal to take these discounts off the top and request for an updated contract was denigned, she decided to return sofa set along with a problematic computer which /4000. Credit. A week later Max, assist. Manager who rented to her, showed up / a helper. She is severely disabled since 26 yrs. Old and in a wheel chair and has a full time aid for the past 12 yrs. Due to a bad pain day she was in bed and asked my aid to watch them out the door / their pick-up since my chair was in the car and I was in bed for the eve. Max and helper took out the computer and one of the bigger sofa pieces and Max told the aid he was also suppose to pick up a w d too.
The aid told her of the situation going on in the dining area-LR. Max ordered her 3x to get out of her bed, he knows I can't walk. When the aid said he was not taking the w d set because it wasn't suppose to be picked up!
Max, assist. Manager started yelling at the top of his lungs over and over that he would not talk to my aid who also makes all my paymts to RAC.
He kept screaming at the top of his lungs you shut up, shut your mouth, I can, t legally speak to you. My aid and I requested they leave with what I gave them permission to take. He kept screaming RAC is a multi billion Dollar co. After telling me and aid he was would not take a w d paymt in the office the next day. I was afraid for my aid, Max is much bigger.
I asked my aid to help me to the counter to hold on to. I have a growth in my throat and could not talk over his screaming at us and was told he had been told to leave and was now tresspassing. I was holding on a tall support when he asked my aid to unstick the door and all of a sudden he bolted and kicked me to the floor and my aid said, (you kicked mrs. K.) Max grabbed the last lg tall thick cushion and a sm. Pillow he punched at my aid and ran to the truck.
I had to go to the hospital Er due to my severe new injuries and my spinal injuries. I later found out Max and all the employees who don, t collect for their accounts don;t get their weekly and monthly bonuses. Violent employees should not work for RAC or anyone. Maybe he is a thug, Perhaps they should see if he has a criminal past. I have a good attorney. Don't let this happen to you! Talk to someone!
