We went to the Jennifer Convertible store in Steveson Ranch (Santa Clarita) today to check out a sofa bed on their advertisement for $299. We absolutely loved the sofa bed and thought $299 was a very good price. We then found out that there is a $89 delivery charge that is required because the sofa bed is in their warehouse. We asked if we could have it shipped to the local store for us to pick up, and they said no. It was not stated anywhere on the ad that there is an UNAVOIDABLE charge of $89.00.
We tried to negotiate with the manager, and she just rudely told us to go pick it up at their warehouse ourselves. We decided that its not worth the effort to go all the way to their warehouse, and worth the cost ($89.00) to have it delivered. Call us cheap if you want to.
This whole story wasn't the reason that made me write this report though. After we decided not to get the sofa bed, I handed the ad back to the manager, and she just forcifully grabbed it from my hand. During this whole time we were nothing but polite to them, asking questions. I could not stand the fact that the manager just did this after we decided not to buy the sofa bed.
