I use to rent from rent a center about 5 years ago. When i moved i decided to use them again. I know this sounds stuipid but i was paying out 160 dollars a week for crap from this company. When they delivered my couch they had a hard time getting it through the door so they just shoved it in and ripped the back of it. I reported it but nothing was ever done about it.
The store that i was managing at was sold so there for i had to take a job for lesser pay, i am a single mom with to teenagers. I explained to rent a center that times were hard that was the reason for the lateness in some of the payments. Everything was fine for a min. I was being paid every two weeks so i called them to get set up for bi-weekly payments with the store manager and i was suppose to be due on mondays because that is when my paydays fell. Well the very next week they started calling every week wanting payments. My mom insisted that i let the furniture go back and she would buy me a washer dryer refrig and living room set. I called rent a center to pick up my stuff and they talked me into resiging my loan, i lost all the money that i had put into the crap. After i did that they sent me a check to use towards my tv for 958 dollars well when i called them and told them i wanted to use it towards my tv they told me it was sent in error that they had already applied that well if that is so why was i still going to have to pay another 1000 dollars for it.
I got so tired of dealing with them over a 2 week period i told them to come get the shit and they showed up one thug man and a little tiny girl to pick up all the furniture.
I had gone to get a shower and get ready for work when i came out of my bedroom i saw them sitting out side and when i looked out they had taken my dining room suit (which was mine) when i went outside and asked them what they were doing they said they thought they were suppose to take it they brought it back in all scuffed up and scratched. Then i noticed them taking out the couch they laid it on this back and drug it across the floor over the door frame and down the steps and accross the dirt to the truck, ha ha i got that on video.
Just make sure what ever u do watch every move they make delivering and picking up stuff. My advice is to never use them. Think about it the money u pay out every week if u put it back in a couple of months u can have what u need brand new.
