Three days before Christmas, DirectTV charged my bank account $383 without authorization. I haven't been a customer of DirectTV for four months! I cancelled my service with DirectTV after I moved to a new address and DirectTV was unable to provide the contracted services. They told me I would owe a disconnect fee, but I refused to pay it since it is DirectTV's responsibility to provide the services as contracted, and though I was interested in keeping their service originally, I couldn't due to my home's location. I will not pay a disconnect fee with a company that can't provide the services it promises.

Four months later, I get a charge against my bank account for $383 with no explanation, no warning, nothing. Three days before Christmas, which spoiled a trip I had planned to take with my Wife over the holidays. Those funds were budgeted for the trip, so we had to postpone it.

Fortunately, I bank with Wells Fargo and they have provisionally replaced the funds pending an investigation into the charge. It took a few days, and we were able to leave on our trip two days late, but we couldn't have gone at all without Wells Fargo being such a good company.

DirectTV used my debit card number to charge my account without authorization. Had it been any human being, they would be charged with bank fraud. Never do business with this company.
