The Landers Group wasted a perfectly good Friday for me. I went to the Sherman Oaks office, and it seemed legitimate. Beth seemed nice, and I got a 2nd interview. Ok, I was really excited. I thought this was going to be my dream job.
I arrived at the office for the 2nd interview at 8:30am.By 9:30 we were on the 101 freeway going to downtown L.A. Steven told me we were going to have a really fun day and he was going to explain the entire management system to me over lunch. We never ate lunch, and he never explained anything.
It was raining. It was cold. We walked around Los Angeles for 7 hours. Steven told me I had to go into every place he went it, so he could show me the sales technique. He took me into back alleys, pornography studios, and into someone's house.
This company lies. They are incredibly unprofessional. I couldn't take my own car to L.A. So I was forced to spend the entire day there. I had to turn off my cell phone, and when my fiance tried to deliver an extremely important message to me, The Landers Group refused to send the message to me.
Don't waste your time on these people. It's a commission based low-level sales job, and you walk door-to-door for 10 hours hoping to make enough money to get gas to go home.
