I went in to The Ad Group for an interview. I was suspicious about their company because they were very vague about everything, from what the company did to the positions that were available. I knew something was wrong when I went in the office and there were about 20 other people waiting in the room. During the interview the man who interviewed me was very vague about the job description and what the company did. And I can see why he was vague, it's door to door sales with no base pay.
When I got home that afternoon I did some research online and cam across a bunch of horror stories and decided to not go on the second interview. I didn't want to spend my entire day doing door to door sales for no pay. From what I've seen and read this company is a pyramid scheme. I was blatantly lied too, and this really angers me. The managers promise you things that seem completely unreasonable. I was told that within 15 months I would have my own branch to manage with 20 people working for me. When I told the guy interviewing me I wasn't really interested in doing sales he told me that sales was only 10% of the job.
I'm glad I only wasted an hour of my time, rather than going on the second interview and wasting a full day.
