Verizon Select ripoff victimized many consumers

I wrote the company a call in 1999, that I would be leaving the home and that I needed the line to be turned off on 06/16/99. They left the phone on and sent me a $5937.00 bill. This is unfair and is a ripp off.

After a few weeks had went by and I noticed that the line was still on I wrote a letter to the company requesting that the line be shut off and in return I got no reply.

A year later I got a bill sent to the service address and it was over $5000.00. This month I was trying to refinance my home and its showing a bill for this company. I tired calling the company and this company do not exist any longer what am I to do to get this resolved?
