In Mid September I received a phone call from Century Marketing Inc. They probably collected my information from an online scam that I opened from my bulk folder and gave some information to. When I first answered the phone a lady told me upfront that she was a new employee for that company and someone else would be listening. I was fine with that, I thought nothing of it.

She gave me a description of her job then started briefing me on the product. She explained that it would cost $3 weekly. I was fine with that as well because I liked the magazines. I was giving her my information, expecting $3 weekly, and then she suddenly transferred the call to another man that spoke very quickly. He told me that they were going to process the order, speed the final charge up and bill my account $49.40 for 15 months. I didnt want to pay the $49.40 monthly, I only wanted to pay the $3 weekly.

When I tried to cancel the order, he told me that I would have to wait until I received a package that he was sending me then contact customer service and cancel the order. He literally charged my account within seconds. He promptly told me this information and quickly hung up the phone.

By the time I got the package, the pending charges to my account had posted. I closed out the checking account that I gave the lady when I first received the phone call, because they kept charging my account every month putting me into the negative. Now I currently have James from the accounting department calling me multiple times daily trying to get me to call customer service but I refuse to answer his call.

I would have no further complaints if the phone calls would just stop. I have had to close out a checking account due to this problem and refuse to also change my telephone number because of their poor business practices.
