First off i have been with rent way for 3 years. I have 2 things from them. I have a 60inch big screen t. V and a laptop (both almost paid off). First off i moved and when you move they must pick up tv and bring it to where ever you are moving to. Well they picked up my tv i moved on 8/9/07 and my new home was not ready to move in till 8/15/07 (7days) well they had my tv at there loction. When i went to have them bring my tv to my new home. Well i was told i had to sign a new contract, come on i have had this tv for 3 years if i pay it off now i owe less then $300.00 well i did not notice when they had me sign a new contract that they made my price go up from the orig. $24.99 a week to $45.00 a week.
Well i noticed it when one day a rep came to my house for payment and my laptop was not chargeing so i gave him my laptop and told him it was not charging and i thought it was the charger. Well he took it came back 2 days later for payment. I saw on the paper that he brought my laptop back and told them i nolonger wanted it cause i could not afford it come on ihave had it for 2 yrs. (almost paid off owe around $200) well i said something to him he stumbled on his words. Well then i look at my payment for my tv and for 2 weeks it was $98.00. It should of only been $58.00. Well i went in and they showed my contract (the new 1) well i called corp. And they had the gen. Manager call me i told him my prob and he said that if i had my orig. Contract they would go by that price (ikeep everything) i told him i did and he told me to meet him at the store at 3pm the same day. When i went in and spoke to him he was just cocky as hell acting like he was typing on the caculator and i look over and he was just hitting the plus sign well anyway he said he would have it fixed and the extra money i paid would go toward what i owed on the tv. He said when i came in on that sat every thing would be fix well guess what it was'nt. I had to pay that same dame price i spoke to the other store manager and he said he would have it fix. Well when i was talking to the gen. Manager that day about the tv i told him about my laptop. Well first off about 6 months ago i had a problem with my laptop and they took it in sent it for repair cause i do pay for ins. They gave me a loner untill mine was back from repair well that took a couple of months finally they called and said they had my pc and that i can come and get it. Well it took me like 2 months to bring back my loner cause i had a lot of work i had to transfer. So i go in and low and behold they can not find my laptop. Someone took it. I guess it was someone who worked there. So they said to hold on to the one i have and they will look for it. I got a call a day later saying they can not find it any where and to just keep the 1 i have. I was upset but i let it go. But now what i am about to tell you i am not letting it go. When the employee came to my house to pick up the laptop (like i said in the beging of this report) i told him that i think it is the charger cause it was working just fine it went dead on me so i put the charger in and it would not charge. Well i said here we go again the charger is messing up let me have them fix it.
Well when i went in to pay my payment on the tv (that they neve rfixed my contract) i spoke to the mang. And he told me that we spoke to the repair department and they said that when they got it, it was sticky nothing on that pc was sticky when it left my home. Well they are saying now i have to pay $600 to have it fix cause it is not covered bull s@#t!!! I think that since they lost my other pc and had to give me the new loner that time. That they know i am not going to pay$600 for something i did not do. They just want to take the money i have paid so that they dont lose money for having to give me that pc. Oh and the lady that made a complaint about a guy bagging on the door and the windows i know who she is talking about. He hits the door like he is a cop really loud he scared my kids and i was in the shower 1 day and he keeped on hit and hit like he was going to brake the door down. Somethign needs to be done this is bull.
