Well Last year I found myself walking into a Rac in Mesa Az. I am not going to lie I do not have the best of credit, so I felt that Rac would be the best place to help me in getting some nice appliances for my place... Boy was I wrong. Well I found a really nice refrigerator that would be nice in my kitchen... Everything was going well they even said that they would deliver the fridge the next day. I took the next day off from work immediately when I got home, planning to have some one come out and deliver the fridge the next day. They told me that there was a 4 hour time frame as to when they could deliver it so I said okay. Time frame my a*.
I waited all day with no phone calls and not a word as to what had happed. So I finally called them like a hour before they closed and said you know what's up? The manager did not know what to say but sorry, they had 2 of their drivers call in and they were really short staffed. So I gave them the benefit of the dought and set up yet another appointment for the next day. I made them work around my schedule this time... So when I got home from work the next day I gave them a call and they said they would be out there with in 30mins. So everything was fine they got there with in the 30 mins, everything was going good. Until DUN DUN DUN the fridge did not fit through my door. They had to take it out of the box and take it off of the wood frame it was on. Finally the dam thing fit. I kind of felt sorry for these men, they had worked really hard... So they proceeded to push yes push the fridge through my living room and my kitchen. All I then heard was a loud screeching noise. I didn't know what it was until they moved the fridge. From where they had pushed the fridge along my kitchen floor they tore up the linoleum. I had a big 12 inch gash along my new kitchen in floor. (If I forgot to mention I just moved into this house two weeks earlier.) They did not know what to say and called their manager.
I was so irate I wanted nothing to do with this company anymore. I got on the phone with the manager and he said he was so sorry and he swore that he would get someone to fix it. The months went by and nothing. I called RAC on a weekly basis, and always got the same answer "The Corporate Office deals with these matters". Finally six months later some man by the name of Dan came out looked at my floor, and said that he would have to report back to corporate offices and give them the estimate of how much it would cost... Long story short I just barley got the floors fixed now in August and this happened in feb my fridge is paid off, but I will never Return to another RAC in my life, and it is a personal goal of mine to tell people how rotten RAC is.
