In April I applied for a free credit report through the online site. After receiving this, a monthly charge began showing on my credit card. I called the number acquired from the website, 877-481-6826 and was given some garble about there being issues with my credit and that I would need to take care of these before cancelling.
Since then, I have called two more times and been given the run-around about cancelling this service. I thought at one point, I had finally achieved my goal, but much to my dismay, the charge was still continued to show up on my credit card. I finally cancelled the credit card to which they were applying the charges and wrote a letter to CIC. Also plan to contact the BBB in Irvine CA.
