Complaint / Review
CIC Triple Advantage
Free means FREE. Ripoff

I realized that this company was billing me a monthly and unauthorized $12.95.

After spending 40 minutes on hold to cancel a credit card, they told me that I had an open account with Triple Advantage and that I must close this account before cancelling my card.

I informed the triple disadvantaged telephone man that I wanted to cancel my account. He told me that I might be a victim of identity theft. I told him that I didn't care. It took me four times before he finally "cancelled my account".

Immediately, I received this email:

We're sorry to see you go! But we would like to thank you for choosing Experian as your credit information provider.

This e-mail confirms that we have received your request to cancel Triple Advantage (SM) Credit Monitoring. We are currently processing your request, and this change will take effect on 3/15.

No further monthly membership fees will be applied to your credit card.

Rest assured, you will still have unlimited access to the many features and benefits of Triple Advantage (SM) Credit Monitoring until 3/15, when your membership expires. At that time, you will receive a final cancellation confirmation e-mail.

I asked the man if I would be billed for March, and he said "No Ma'am". We shall see.

Good luck to you all.
