We recently moved my 85-year old mother with multiple health challenges from Georgia to Hawaii to live out her remaining time with us. When looking for a moving company I received several quotes, but selected West Point Relocation because they "specialized" in moves to Hawaii.
When I first contacted them in late May, I received numerous e-mail messages and Eli called to close the deal and take my credit card number. From that point, we have had to call to receive information, all of which has been either bogus or non-responsive. I have tried to track down my goods with the Matson ship number and container number, but as far as I know this information could all be lies as well. I have spoken to Eugene, Pedro, Chris, and an additional cast of characters, none of whom are of any help whatsoever.
My mother's household goods were primarily sentimental, my father built most of the furniture pieces and the rest were just odds and ends we were bringing to remind her of her life with Dad, who passed away three years ago.
The hardest part of this whole experience is trying to figure out how to explain to Mom that some frauds took advantage of her.in Hawaii, we call that bad bachi and they will have earned plenty of it for what they have done to our family.
