I have been with TMobile since 2001 starting in Orlando, FL and moving to Indiana two years ago. I began seeing my boyfriend 9 months ago in Piqua Ohio and used to have coverage there when I visited on the weekends until 3 months ago. When I reported the loss of coverage, I was told that there was nothing they could do as it there were no plans to provide service in that area... But no explanation as to why coverage suddenly stopped.
Now, when I call to report that I'm moving to Ohio I'm told that they will charge me a $200 early termination fee even though they cannot provide coverage to my new address unless I provide a utility bill or rent receipt... Or new driver's license... Etc.
How absurd. I'm moving in with my boyfriend and they will not even accept a letter from him. There will be no rent receipt, etc. And since my home here is still on the market, I won't be putting in a change for my driver's licence, insurance etc until my hosue is sold.
TMobile is being completely unreasonable in their demands for "PROOF" that I'm moving. I have repeated told them that I don't WANT to change phone service but that I have no choice since I cannot get coverage in Piqua. Their supposed manager "Michelle ID: 1244126" said that they have no alternative but to charge me the cancellation fee and refused to get me to her manager.
I will never do business with TMobile again. And I absolutely refuse to pay an early termination fee when they can't even provide the service that I'm cancelling.
Beware... TMobile customer service people are canned/cut-out's that can't think for themselves and certainly don't value me as a long-time customer.
I fully intend to file a complaint with every entity on the internet that exisits!
