After making a complaint to Dish Network on their e-mail, I "lost" my picture the next day. Funny how it worked, the day after a written complaint. It will be 5 days before they can come out. They seem to be a company that lies, cheats and they do what they please. They don't care. You signed a contract and now they have got you. That is all they want.
The price that is quoted on their website is not what you end up paying. It is $25 or so more. My daughter asked them point blank. Will I be charged more if I do not have a phone line? No was their answer. The bill is $5 per month for a Program Access Fee because we did not provide a phone line. Was this disclosed on the Website? No.
When I asked about the $5 charge I was told they don't list all the situations that could cost you more as to not confuse the consumer and each installation is unique. She stated that it is on the paperwork the installer had me sign. It is not. All they asked is if a phone line is available on this wall. I said no, and asked if I needed one. No. That is a very basic question and should be standard notification to the client that it will cost you more.
When I first received service I called the next day stating I may have signed up for the wrong configuration of product. Could she please explain how the dual reciever worked. I was pleasant. We were disconnected. I tried to call back and all lines were busy and I was disconnected again. If there is a three day cancellation I could not do it when you can't get through.
The consumer has no way to compare service between companies if all charges are not disclosed. What is a DHPP for $5.99? Where is my $200 refund? Not on the first 2 bills. Why is the second bill higher than the first?
All these consumers on this site have the same complaints. This company will say and do anything to get your business, and once a contract is signed you are stuck. That contract does not list the charges just the services. They can charge anything they want. Buyer beware.
