Lies, faults promises, dishonest, fraud, theft of customer money ripoff

We have never in our lives been treated as degraded as dish network has done so with us. This company has me so made, I wanted to cry!

Saturday, August 12 a installer was out to install our (move) receiver. During this installation he mentioned an upgrade of one receiver and one DVR. He (installer) called dish network to change our installation service and was told by dish network that if we had the upgrade done that day it would cost us $120.00. However if we waited and called back tomorrow after the installation and renewal of contract the upgrade would be free due to a promotional sale and signing of new contract. (my husband and I both heard the conversation and talked with dish at this time.)

We called the next day and for 2 hours my husband and I were called liars, made fault's promises and treated every which way but American. We were told that dish was going to call the installer, they backed out of that. Telling us we were never told such a story and they didnt care what the installer told us or whether we talked to customer service, the conversation was never documented. They show the installer called and they show they talked with us, but the actual conversation was not transcribed. Dish would not tell us what was transcribed, only what was not transcribed. They would not even give us the phone number or name of the installer.

Due to all the current and past problems we have had with dish network we insisted to be forwarded to cancellation and told them to cancel our service "FREE OF CHARGE" and we would go somewhere else. Service was cancelled immediately.

Then I called back 10 minutes later and found out that service was indeed cancelled and we would be charged the remaining months as per contract for cancellation charges. Now since we signed a new 2 year contract just the day before, they were sticking it to us. And since we were cancelled, they would not forward us to the cancellation department. Their records indicated that agreement was made between cancellation department of customer and service was to be cancelled and customer would be charged the cancellation service as per contract.

After 1 hour of total arguing, service was then reinstated. I was also told by service staff members of dish network that they are always right and what they say goes. The customer is always wrong and dish can charge, say and do what ever they want to.

I want answers from dish network. My plans are to file a formal complaint legally. If a class action lawsuit is what it takes then so be it. I have never in my life been treated the way dish network treats people. I want answers!
