I had called Embarq a few months ago to make some changes to my calling plan. I told them I wanted the unlimitted long distance for their set price. Last week I got a bill for about $500.00 from them for long distance calls. They told me that they never put me on the plan and I could set up a payment plan to pay the $500.00 dollars. I told them that because of their mistake I should not be held liable. They contend that I have to pay the $500.00 and that's it. There must be something that I can do but they are the only provider in the area.
