Professional Moving Services ripoff Deceptive NEVER showed up! Many excuses hard to get in contact with when it was time for the rubber to hit the road

Sharing my experience just to ADD to the long list of others' already posted—I should've checked this out prior to setting up my move! Nationwide Relocation Services were SO professional and "together" in how they presented themselves—I set up my move online but also spoke to my "moving consultant" by phone and email many times in setting up the move. Lo and behold, the 2 day "window" came when the driver/truck was to show up. You know how hard it is to get all the last minute things ready to move cross-country and re-locate your life? Lots of work and headache and last minute preparations. So, the driver was to call me the day before his arrival to let me know time he would be arriving... NO call. The 1st day of the 2-day "window"... No contact so I began calling Nationwide. I kept being told phone call after phone call that the driver would be calling me back. No call. I finally got someone to tell me that the driver/truck, from Silver Arrow Movers, was "stuck" in Maryland—truck in shop with no knowledge of when truck would be out of shop—and that this was the only truck available to move me. I was in the Midwest—halfway across the country and needed to get moved halfway across the country in the other direction!

During that day and the next day I made approx. 20 calls to Nationwide Relocation Services and to Silver Arrow Movers—and was put on hold many times, was told someone would call me back "soon"—but no one did; was transferred to Many "voicemails", was told "our dept. Doesn't handled that"... The second day, in the morning, when I immed. Began calling again to find out an answer, I was told by Nationwide "we have no record of you calling yesterday regarding this!" The "head" guy from Silver Arrow even slammed the phone down on me when I was asking him to give me an answer.
All the sudden, when it came time for the rubber to hit the road, no one at the "friendly and professional" Nationwide Relocation Services could be reached or could help me!

I was told over and over that there was NO other driver/truck anywhere that they could set me up with to move me. I was on a timeline and had to be moved. The people who bought my house were also on a timeline and HAD to move in their stuff—so they are trying to have their stuff moved into the house when all my belongings (a 4 bedroom family) were still sitting there! It was truly a living nightmare!

I finally had to begin calling myself to find other movers and found someone on the 3rd or so day—a local mover who dropped all his vacation plans and got a team together to pack/move me at the last minute.

Hope reading this will save you the same heartache; what a lesson learned!
