I too have been scammed by KACW Investments and Helen Joanne Pearce. I have filed a complaint with the Orlando, BBB and got a response from Joanne (as she likes to go by) that was total garbage. I would be more than happy to report her to any bureau in FL for investigations. I live in MI and do not know where or who to contact.
I have been monitoring these posts for several months waiting for enough people to complain about her. If someone can please post or respond with websites, email addresses, or phone numbers of where to complain, I would be happy to do so. Fortunately, I also talked to in writing or emailed her with our conversations after the phone calls and I have copies of all of this to back up my story and complaint.
We were scammed almost a year ago by her. It was the same situation as several others, we owned a home, signed a contract for a lease to purchase, bought a new home, she promised to pay us as soon as we moved out and she did an inspection, and viola - no money ever!
She advertised our home in the local papers and had people looking at it (I actually met one of them) as well as people I knew had called about it and discovered it was my house in the paper. After about 2 months of advertising, she could not sub-lease my house (Thank God!) and quit advertising it. However, when I would call and ask where my money was, she would tell me that I would have it in a few days, that she was just waiting on the inspection.
When people were looking at the house, I asked her about that and she told me it was the inspectors - she never had it inspected, they were potential tenants! She claims she never had a valid contract with me (which is bunk, because we upheld our end, she never did hers).
So needless to say, we ended up owning and paying for two houses for 8 months! I was never notified by her that they had no intention of upholding the lease. I ended up consulting an attorney who told me to put it up for sale as she had broken the lease by never sending me any money.
I personally believe she should at least pay me for the 8 months of rent until I sold the house, if not the whole lease due to all the aggrevation we went through with her. Fortunately, she could not find a tenant as she was asking to much money, or else I would have been in an even worse situation!
