Since july 31st we sent letters, called capital one on the phone. We asked them to close the account. They would not close till "0" balance. We have had two "0" balances.
They allowed aol to bill us after we requested in writing to not allow any charges on our account. They contintued to allow aol to bill us.
As soon as we filed fraud papers with aol. They stop billing in sept. No aol accounts were open since august.
Every time capital one allowed our account to be billed way over the credit limit. We would call aol and they said there were no active accounts with them since august and they had not billed us, butsent checks coving the fraud billing.
Well capital one took the checks and did not apply them to the credit card. This would have given us credit {because we were paying to keep the credit card without over draft fees..
Also we thought with a "0" balance our account would be closed..instead capital one takes the money aol sends them and acts as though we have active aol accounts and bills us. All aol is doing is paying us back for the times we paid capital one..
Capital one is double charging and keeping the checks that were applied to our account by aol, which we paid for with our money. Aol was repaying us..
Yes it went to the credit card, and things would have been easier if they would have paid us. We want the account closed and our credit aol gave us returned
