Allowed someone to open up an account using my wifes debit card numbe

In April while checking my bank statement again, I realized that Directv had debited my bank account $150 without my authorization and at a time when my Directv bill was due.

I called customer service to inquire about the bill. I gave them my Directv account number and when they brought up the account, they stated that they had not debited my account at that time and at that amount. I explained to them that I was looking at that statement and that they had.

After getting the run around for several days, it was finally discovered that Directv had allowed someone (unknown to me or my wife), to initiate cable service using my wifes stolen debit card number.in fact, Directv had been separately automatically billing my wifes debit card for cable every month since November. It was also discovered that the fraudulant service was not in my wifes name, yet her debit card was allowed to be used to pay the bill every month.

The police and the fraud department at my bank investigated and determined that I had been a victim of ID theft. Directv was contacted by the bank investigators and myself and claims no responsibility and has continuously refused to give a refund, the name of the thief, or the address to where the service was being provided. I have done everything the so-called Directv invetstigators asked, including faxing my bank statements to them. Two dozen phone calls and several months later, they have still refused to contact me.
