I bought four HP96 cartridges online from 1800eMart for $78.05. (I have owned the HP printer for nearly two years.) I noticed the first cartridge seemed to be empty awfully quickly, so I made notations of how many pages the second cartridge printed. Answer: 367. The average output should be 800 pp.
My work is not heavy on ink (double-spaced text print only). I contacted the company and stated the problem of the less-than-half-full cartridges and asked how they proposed to remedy this problem. Their response: "All the cartridges are fully filled, sorry there is nothing we can do about it."
My subsequent request for replacement of the defective merchandise was denied with "We are not the manufacture. We are the reseller. We have reported it to the manufacture. There is nothing we can do at this point."
This company misses more than the R in "manufacturer." It misses a real customer service. And I'm missing fully-filled cartridges.
