July 24:
The morning before the scheduled move, we called to see the exact time of pickup the next day. Elias said he would call back with the exact time. We left the house and came back to a message left that afternoon saying that they could not make the move the next morning. We called and spoke to both Elias and Chris—both had been our contacts—and were told they simply could not make it, a truck had broken down, and refused to give us an alternative date for pickup. They told us the refund for $500 would be in the mail the next day. We spoke to Chris and Elias and finally asked to speak to the head of the company, who told us that he had no more trucks to complete the pickup and that it was now our problem, not his. He was incredibly rude and never apologized for our inconvenience.
July 26:
We call AIT again and ask when the deposit would be mailed to us. We were told it would be mailed the next day.
Aug 14:
We call AIT again and they say the refund was mailed on Aug 10.
It is now August 19 and we have not received our refund, our phone calls have not been returned, and we have contacted an attorney.
