Refusal to supply information ripoff

My friends car was broken into and his Sirius radio was stolen.

When he filed a police report they asked for a serial # and when my friend called Sirius they refused to give him the serial #'.

I called this police officer and he said that he has spoken to numerous victims reporting the same issue. Tom said it's possibly because they don't want to lose the monthly fees.

This is insane and if you do buy Sirius make sure you know the serial #'s of your new radio because Sirius will not help you if it's stolen.
