We contracted atlantis van lines in january to help with pur move to oregon. Our original estimate was 3700 dollars plus 1200 to move my truck.
On moving day they said that we had more than they estimated and that the price was now 8400 dollars. As this is closer to what i expected our move would cost, i agreed to pay the difference. We were told that if it weighed more we would have to pay an additional ammount when delivered.
We then spent a month on our move taking our first vacation together as a family. When we arrived at our new place of residense in march, i proceeded to start the process of getting our stuff delivered. I sent the required fax on march 7, and we waited, and we waited... Until a month later we finally got the call that our stuff would be coming this weekend (april 4 or so). The day before delivery i get this call from the truck driver saying that they were overweight, and they had to wait for another truck to take some of the load back to storage. Delivery of the load that remained on the truck then took place a day late. It is now may 21 and i am still getting the runaruond on when the rest of our stuff will come, i've left countless voicemails, and been lied to by the folks in dispatch..
The only person i can get on the phone is some poor secretary who isn't paid enough to answer my questions. I'm tired of talking to flunkies, i need some results. Some of the stuff they kept in denver is necessary to my earning a living. I am a master stonemason, and they have all my handtools, as well as 5 or 6 thousand dollars of diamond wheels, grinders atc... Please help me, i cant get paid without my tools of trade..
