I use to have an account with VarTech Telecom, Inc. (no longer). I pay my bills on line through my Credit Union.
Back on January 4 I accidentally paid a phone bill to VarTech Telecom that should have gone to my local phone company (—). As soon as I realized my error I called VarTech that was on January 9.
I was told to fax a request for a refund to the company and someone would contact me within a few days which I did on January 17. No response.
I called again on January 24 and was told they were checking into the matter and would call me within a couple of days. (No call).
Called again on February 1 and was told it would take a couple of billing cycles before I would get the refund.
Called again on 4/3/06 and 4/18/06 and again was told someone was looking into the matter and that they would be in contact with me within a couple of days. Still no one has called me back.
Called again 5/22 and was told again they would look into the matter. The refund is for $51.75.
They just keep putting me off and won't let me talk to a supervisor.
