I contracted Nationwide moving from FT Lauderdale to do my move from Chicago Ill to Raleigh NC. I did not know that they would contract my move out to Best price moving and storage.
On the day that best price was to pick up my furniture they was late by 2hrs. When they finally showed up they told me that I needed to sign the inventory list before they could start to load anything. I did, I was at the house so I could make sure the paper work was right. Before they left they call their office to see when my furniture will be delivered to me in NC and to confirm the price that was quoted for extra pounds per pound. The rep said that she thought I might have an extra 199lbs and that will not be more that $70.
Needless to say when I got the call for my final bill it was an extra $400 ($200 for extra lbs and $200 for packing supplies. I packed all of my own stuff and had my truck (Suv-Durango) 3 rolls of seat full of stuff from the front windshield all the way to the tailgate. I had all the seats let down except the driver seat.
The delivery window for my stuff to be deliverd was Jan 9- Jan 18. Today I get a call saying it will not be here until 1/21/06.
