One Call Communications after waiting almost 4 months claims we accepted long distant telephone calls. The supposed duration of each call was 8 min in duration was costing $40.80 plus tax a TOTAL of $92.64.
I currently believe there was no one home at the time of the call and the answering machine picked up.
When I rec'd the bill I refused to pay because of lateness, not able to verify the call actually came thru and the charges were outrages. I asked One Call to respond. I did this in letter form.
Since sending my letter, I have started receiving computer telephone calls. I have now sent a letter "Certified" demanding the calls stop or they provide a satisfactory response.
The certified letter as not yet been received and the calls are still coming but I simply hang up and wait.
After reading some of One Calls practices I think I will make repeated written requests for them to cease and desist. If that fails I will file complaints with the FCC, the BBB, the local DA and since this is California file a small claims action against the company for the harassment.
