This company charged extra to pack my belongings, including several original art pieces. Like a dummy, I did't read the fine print in the contract that said they weren't liable for "plants, jewelry, unique or high value items such at artifacts, artwork or one of a kind items... Not packed by Blue Whale..." Despite the fact that the contract say "not packed by Blue Whale" and they were the packer, they have refused to cover the damages. Also, while they sent two employees who were obviously experienced, they had a third who had no idea what he was doing. The reason this piece was broken was because the inexperienced guy backed off the truck ramp with a load of boxes on a dolly (all the while the boss was yelling at him never to go off the ramp backwards). Needless to say, he lost his balance and off came the top box, crushing a small marble sculpture. I now have a call in to my lawyer to see what my options are.
