ATT world internet was charging us on our home local long distance phone bill and it went undiscovered by my wife and i for many months. However we have never used att world net and never log on to the internet with that site (which shows up on their records daily for any one who connects through them).
It wasnt much money but when i tried to get a credit return for the way they slipped it in our phone bill, they laughed and said "we can only credit you for 3 months" they charged me for over 15 months of internet service, and they sent their bill to me through my AOL internet address and they know i never used that connection and I never asked for it. I guess it was a bonus package they add on for new costomers when we signed up for att.
After talking on the phone many times to them over the last 3 months and 2 months ago one of the supervisers advised me that he would credit me the full amount. It never happen after I got another bill from them it was like it all started all over again. With the representatives chuckling about how they scammed my family out of about $165.00 of fees and then laughing that they can reinburst us $33.00 for jus tthe last three months. The biggest complaint I have is that my wife caught it the 2nd month they charged us.
They where supposed to credit us then and disconnect that service that we never asked for and never used. We never got that credit either and the feess where still adding up on our on line bill which only showed the amount due unless you go through there site and search for all the charges.
Any one who has a att bill sees what I am talking about when they access there bill on line which takes quite a bit of time going through all the seperate pages. So now I am looking for a new local phone company with integrity and deals with the patrons honestly. Does any one even know of such a phone company?
