I do not have long distance service on my home phone, but I received my Verizon bill, and had a long distance carrier called USBI/cheap to dial. I was charged $16.81 for this long distance service which I had not requested. But it also showed a credit to my bill for this amount, which I hadn't noticed or requested the credit. When I did call about it, they said the service had been canceled, (I hadn't cancelled it any more than I had requested it) and the fee refunded to my bill. Yes it was canceled, and one months fee was refunded, but it was charged again on the same bill! When I called USBI, they told me it was cancelled, gave me a confirmation number, then I called Verizon, and they told me there was nothing they could do, but wait and see if USBI credited the next months fees. They haven't so far, and when I pay my phone bill, I only pay the amount of the bill, and not the USBI charges, so my phone bill shows unpaid charges still remaining. I am fuming mad!: (
