SBC lied in my billing constantly. Their customer service coming out of the Vassar St. Office in Reno is nasty, nasty, nasty. They lied in saying that they came out and charged me for a repair when they never came out. My landlord was working in the vicinity of their box all day that day and the Repair service wanted to retaliate so they made up a phoney repair report.
Also, SBC would take order from my ex-husband who would visit me and call them and order services. They never asked if he had the authority to order any services that I later had cut off when I found out.
I had the Public Utilities Commission in Nevada investigate this fraudulent billing and they are total pro-corporate. SBC wrote a long, letter, made up facts that weren't rational, and the PUC bought it hook, line and sinker.
Now I have to fight their collection agency, but I will not pay these false charges. They were wrong and they need to admit it but in Reno they are digging in their heels as retaliatory actions because I complained to the BBB a few times.
