April I signed up for a trial offer by this company. Payment was through my credit card.
After looking at a few issues, I found it difficult to use and never looked at them again.
Only later did I notice on my credit card statements that they were billing me for each month as if I had signed up for a subscription. I looked at their website and found no simple way of notifying them that I was stopping and that I had merely paid for a "trial" and nothing more was intended. I emailed them and received a computer generated response but no indication that they would stop billing me or had bothered to read my email.
As a result I decided to close my credit card account - which I had had for many years. Some months before I had asked my credit card company to investigate these bills and received no assurance that the bills would be stopped or that I would receive reimbursement. The billing just kept appearing on my statements each month.
Henceforth I will not subscribe to anything online unless they accept a check as payment.
