I received a telemarketing call about a year ago asking me to accept a "trial membership" for $1.00, and I accepted.instead I was billed $69.90 on a credit card by FUSION TELEKOM. Unfortunately I didn't get around to cancelling that in time, and another charge for $49.95 appeared the next month on the same credit card.
When I called to cancel that, they were friendly enough, and THEY offered a refund of the $49.95. But I have tried for months to get that refund, constantly being told that it "should show up within 10 days", or they were having "server problems"
Now, there is a new charge on that same credit card for $24.95 on Dec 30, this time, FUSION TALK. I have called several times to get this refunded, again to no avail. I did NOT (as they claim) speak to a telemarketer in Dec, and authorize this charge.in fact, I have not even used this credit card for months, because I am eliminating credit cards from my personal finances. They gave me the same spiel, refund should show up within a week, never does.
As I see it, they owe me $74.90, and I intend to get it.
