Ripoff dishonest fradulent billing practices Chicago

Well Let's see. It all started when I moved back into the dorms here at college after summer vacation. I signed up with a nice plan with Cingular Wireless in June and paid my bills on time. No problems with billing until I moved down to the dorms.

October came around and I still did not recieve a bill from the company. I called to see if my address was changed in their system on many occassions and it was. But no bill ever appeared in my mailbox. At the beginning of December they turned my phone off for the lack of me not paying my bills. Which I did not receive.

The only way for me to get my phone turned back on was to give my credit card information over the phone to one of their billing representatives. I obliged and when my credit card statement came I was overcharged 70 dollars. Still no bill showed up and I asked for the charge to be taken off my account.

In Febuary I contacted the Vice President of Customer Service, Mr. Lincoln and he assured me that everything would be taken care of. I still had not recieve any form of a bill.in mid-febuary I was called by a representative telling me I had a deliquent account. And then again it happened, my phone was turned off. I didn't want to give my credit card information over the phone to them again but Mr. Lincoln had assured me that everything was going to be taken care of.

Then my credit card statement came. This time there was the authorized charge reported on Febuary 22nd and two UNAUTHORIZED charges one on March 9th for 50 dollars and another on March 22nd for 52.00. I called my credit card company and there was a transaction credited from cingular to my account for the sixty dollars in december. But now just tonight I called discover and they said the credit from cingular had been taken off my card. So this is why I am writing this report.

So far Cingular has overcharged me 200 dollars and this may be growing. It is now April and I still have not received a bill since August. I have an appointment scheduled to talk to the President of Customer service and we shall see where that gets me. If any others have been charged by this money grubbing company please let me know. And go somewhere else for your wireless service AVOID CINGULAR!
