I went to Jonathan Marcus Group in search of print modeling jobs that would earn me extra money and not interrupt my studies in school. After paying the full amount ($1295.00) agreed upon in the contract, all of the promised services were not provided. Some time after 11/22/02, I was scheduled for a photo shoot.
In a phone conversation, one of the staff members told me that Jonathan Marcus Group was having trouble with implementing photo shoot #2, due to difficulties with the photographer and hair and make-up artist. She suggested that the lack of timely payments from the models, and models constantly rescheduling the date was to blame. She sounded very worried, nervous and upset when I spoke with her.
After that, my phone calls were not answered, although I called during business hours. After I attempted several times to call the office, I visited the office and discovered that it had been vacated. I received no further phone calls and found it impossible to contact anyone associated with Jonathan Marcus Group after that.
This is an old complaint, but I have not had any success in resolving this issue. There is another modeling agency under the same name at the following address:
