I called Dish Network in late June to ask if they could suspend my service for the Summer, because I was not watching TV. Since I didnot have a contract with them, they agreed to put me on something they called DishPause. They said I could call back in the fall and as long as my balance ($43.00) was paid in full, they would turn my service back on.
On September 22 they charged my bank account $300.00 for not returning their equipment. They used my debit card number without my permission. They never sent me anything requesting the equipment.
I called and spoke to several people over the next three hours. I was finally transferred to an executive supervisor named Kenyan. He told me they had no notes in their file of my call requesting DishPause. I told him that if my refund was not processed that day, I was going to the magistrate court and filing a complaint.
He agreed to refund my money. It was posted back to my bank account on September 28. I changed by debit card number and have since received a box with prepaid postage to return their equipment.
I got my refund, but what about the people who didn't? What about the people with hundreds of dollars in NSF fees from their bank? I urge everyone to stay away from this dishonest company!
